LARA Christmas Party 2010

On Saturday December 18, 2010 Lake Amateur Radio Association held their annual Christmas Party in their newly refurbished clubhouse in Leesburg, Florida.

As you can see from the pictures we had a great turnout for the turkey dinner with all the fixings and great desserts. The club provided the location and the turkey. LARA members brought the hors d’oeuvres, vegetables and desserts.

Our Chief Chef--Paul Hemby, WN4AMO, organized this event and ran the show. He did a great job and a good time was had by all.  (Photos below)

Beatrice Prior, Jeni (KJ4QAG), Ed (W9CHA), and Art (KJ4KBP) enjoy a chat over Christmas dinner.   Paul (WN4AMO) - LARA Secretary - was the Chief  Chef and party planner.   Melinda (KJ4YTG) and Lavon (KT4LST) enjoyed the dinner.   
       
Strait Hollis (KT4YA) - Lake County EC -  and wife Dottie came out to the party to exchange season's greetings.   The LARA clubhouse was full for the party.    Walter (KJ4TUW) and his daughter Danica Birriel  has a good time.  
       
Goodies!    Jayne DePoy and her husband Carl ( K8BBT) celebrate Carl's re-election to the LARA board   Deb (KB1FEF) and Strait are probably discussing why Ted (K1AYZ) doesn't get on the air more often.   
     
After Dinner, some people still had room for dessert.    The new radio console did double duty as the buffet table.    There was so much going on inside that the party spilled outside with  Santa's helper Jay (N4KXO) and LARA President Doug (K4AC)  
     
The "Engineer" - Lenny (KD4MBN) and Sue Michaelsen.    Eating in the "scenic" back yard were Marit Schwab, Savanah Schwab, Betty Thames,
Bob (K3RT),  and Steve (KT4Q).		   Paul FINALLY got to open his present from Santa.  Did someone say he had a monkey on his back?
